I think you can do an inexpensive DIY project...but I think they need a fellow couponer/haggler to do it. Also thrift stores are amazing, but garage sales I think would be even more frugal! Interesting article though I think a lot of shows do the same thing, and don't include the supplies.Lopes Handcrafted Giftshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00556683158618926898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4519986092114737286.post-1807368788679777552012-06-29T08:08:40.940-07:002012-06-29T08:08:40.940-07:00We have found that our projects ALWAYS cost us mor...We have found that our projects ALWAYS cost us more than we thought. The executives decide what shows people most likely to buy their products will watch and then they go and pay money to advertise on and/or get their products used on these shows. So if say, a paint company sponsors Nate's show and a DIY project comes up involving paing, they will use the sponsors brand of paint....and they get free paint to do the DIY on the show. They don't care if it's cheap or expensive because they aren't out any money for it.
To do a true cost, they'd have to disclose all the stuff they use that they got for free, which wouldn't give you the actual cost for you or me to do this project.

Besides DIY home interior is NEVER cheap as you think, the same as home repair is never as cheap as you think it will be.
You can only hope it's cheaper than paying someone else to do it for you.lolslugmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12728856166374248591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4519986092114737286.post-90631730706983215352012-06-28T16:16:20.955-07:002012-06-28T16:16:20.955-07:00Following back and looking forward to it!!!Following back and looking forward to it!!!Jonniquehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11625386022309737063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4519986092114737286.post-25311314229286243592012-06-28T08:01:11.440-07:002012-06-28T08:01:11.440-07:00That's so true! That's so true!Lenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16064081200654561079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4519986092114737286.post-50710659236192328302012-06-28T08:00:41.740-07:002012-06-28T08:00:41.740-07:00I know the feeling :) I have tons of different thi...I know the feeling :) I have tons of different things here too :) But I still end up buying something every time we tackle another project :)Lenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16064081200654561079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4519986092114737286.post-57152251770366443462012-06-28T07:57:45.159-07:002012-06-28T07:57:45.159-07:00No kidding :)No kidding :)Lenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16064081200654561079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4519986092114737286.post-64666116191154633622012-06-28T07:57:17.095-07:002012-06-28T07:57:17.095-07:00That's what I believe too!
