We spent some money today...

...and I feel good about it. I actually feel awesome :)

Because we bought something we were looking for for a W.H.I.L.E. You wonder what I'm talking about?? We got a new living room coffee table! For the last few years we used this IKEA table:

I love IKEA, I really do. But their tables are not made to withstand abuse from little children. Within a few years our table looked like this:

And that's just one side. Other sides looked even worse. We don't have any other formal living room or media room. This is the only space we have. That's where we entertain, watch TV. That's the room that we invite people in when they stop by. You can imagine why I felt a little embarrassed. But buying a brand-new table was so not in our budget. That's why I kept an eye on classifieds. But I couldn't find anything that would suit our needs for months and months. Then a few days ago I found what I thought would be perfect for our space. It was only listed for 2 days,and I felt that we had a great chance getting it. Not much luck!...Somebody beat me to it... I was not a happy camper...Until this morning when I saw an awesome, awesome table on sale for $50!!! Did I really say $50?? The ad was up for only 20 minutes but I didn't want to waste time. We called immediately and went to check it out within an hour. And we loved it! It was perfect for our needs and in like-new condition.

Isn't it just the coolest table?? I love-love-love it! These are real drawers for some storage. What makes it even better? The other side looks exactly the same, with six more drawers! Our house has a lot going on in small square footage, so storage is very valuable. That was an absolute steal! And we actually used $25 that we made with online yard sales this week to pay part of it, so it made it even better. We are still within our budget this month and we actually bought a piece of furniture :) And I should mention that within an hour after our call, 15 more people called about this table! I'd say, money well spent!
