Today my parents went home...

Pin It    This morning we woke up at 5 am and took my parents to the airport... I can't believe how quickly these three weeks flew by. This was by far their best visit. Not all of our visits with them went smoothly. My Dad can be somewhat controlling, and the had a bit of a thing with my husband before. But this time it was peaceful, pleasant, and we just all enjoyed our time together. It was hard to say our goodbyes because we don't know when we will see each other again...I'm really going to miss having them here...

Plus, with the leftovers of my cold still lingering around and 4 children here today, I'm not a happy camper.  I also received a medical bill for the Baby for $125! I thought we already paid off all of his bills but apparently not! And that to top off the $430 bill we paid on Monday for my Hubby. We did get a 25% discount that they promised (the total bill was more than $600!) but we had to pay it off right away. And now this bill...I'm going to be very grumpy today...

    1. That's the thing-in order for us to get that 25% discount, we had to pay it off in full :( We talked about it and decided to do it and save more than $200. I had $350 set aside but I didn't expect the bill to be that high(even after a discount). The difference will come from our next paycheck, and we pay the Baby's bill in three weeks when we get another pay. I'm not opposed to credit cards. We have 1 that we use and pay it off every month (we usually just buy gas with it and a few very occasional online purchases).I like it a lot for rewards.I just hate to rely on credit cards like that even for a few days.. But I don't want to touch our EF either.

  3. Do your parents live in Russia or the U.S.? So glad you had a peaceful and pleasant visit.

    1. They live in Russia :( We hope to bring them here one day but they are not even going to look at this option at least until they retire. Plus, right now we can't help at all to take care of them :(
