The mid-summer bucket list.

You probably noticed that this month I didn't post my to-do list. I do have one but I can honestly tell you that it's BORING. So this time around I decided to share with you another list that Hubby and I created the other day - the mid-summer bucket list. I'm writing it right now and I can't believe it's already a middle of July!
The Kid will start Kindergarten at the end of August, so we wanted to make a few weeks before that a little more memorable. Our list is not very long but our money is tight too. We will increase our entertainment budget for the next 6 weeks but not by much. So here's our "fun" list:

1. Go on a vacation (all planned already)
2. Go to the zoo
3. Go to the Aquarium
4. Do the fireworks (we did some on the 4th of July and will do some more for Pioneer Day here in UT)
5. Go to a water splash pad park (again!)
6. Drive a train downtown
7. Have a picnic in a park
8. Camp on a backyard
9. Go to the Jungle Jim's
10. Swim in a pool with and without the kids :) We have to go to a public pool which I don't like as much but we really want to go swimming.

Do you have any fun plans for the rest of this summer?

  2. A great list!

We have a lot of plans for the summer, We are taking a 12 day road trip across the country, from NW Pennsylvania to California. After that we hop on a plane to Hawaii. We're moving there!

To be honest I am really mostly excited about the road trip, so many cool sights to see. Can't wait. We leave in two and a half weeks.

    1. Well, you just came back from an awesome vacation :) It counts :) Getting back on track is important too! I'm really trying now to be frugal because of these and some other expenses.

  5. I don't know about where you live, but around here they have discounts to get into the zoo and aquarium on certain days of the week, if you go during the hours before they close. That's what we like to do not only because it's cheaper, but it's usually not as crowded.

    1. Our Aquarium has a 1/2 day first Tuesday (I think?) of the month. Is till need to double-check it! I'm not sure about the zoo yet but I will surely check for discounts :)

  7. Your bucket list sounds wonderful! Don't have anything special planned here but at my age sometimes it's nice to just do nothing:) Might plan a camping trip (RVs--not tents) with friends!
