Hello, hello. How are you all today? I know, some of you are interested in a few updates about all of the things I posted over the last few days. So here it goes:
MY HEALTH. I want to thank you all for your kind comments and concerns. I'm feeling much better now. My shoulder is hardly hurting at all, I don't even need Ibuprofen any more. I'm still trying to be careful with my arm. I really want to go back to exercising but I know I need to wait a little bit. Good thing it wasn't my right arm though. I don't know what I would do then :)
THE PIZZA SAGA. Again, thank you so much for all your comments. We couldn't find a local owner, so we decided to just write on their Facebook page. They responded within a day requesting more information. We sent it out and haven't herd back from them yet. I'm thinking of leaving a review at Yelp but, first, I want to see what they will have to say. I'm not sure what I'm expecting, more just curious.
So that's what's happening :) Now going back to my usual boring Monday post :) We really worked hard last week on unloading our fridge and finishing up all the leftovers and bits and pieces of food that needed to be used. I'm happy to report that it's the first time this year that I had zero food waste. I'm so excited!!
I do need to go shopping and very-very soon. I think the only veggie we have in the house right now is a bunch of salad :) We do still have plenty of fruit. I wrote down an approximate menu for this week but it might vary a lot because it's my Birthday on Wednesday, then Valentine's Day on Thursday plus my sister and a couple of friends will stop by on Saturday. But here is what it looks like so far:
Mon.- chicken and cream cheese taquitos (bumped from last week)
Tues.- chicken noodle soup, rolls
Wed.- eating out lunch for both my B-day and Valentine's Day (using a gift card), and dinner Hubby is cooking :)
Thurs.- whatever we feel like!!
Fr.- rice, teriyaki salmon, whatever veggies I buy this week
Sat.- meat and potatoes, salad
Sun.- leftovers, vegetable soup
I'm still thinking of a special dessert for Valentine's Day. What is your favorite dessert?
I shared this post at The Frugal Girl's blog
It's hard to pick a favorite dessert and my tastes tend to run along the simple. If I had to pick, I think I would choose some kind of ice cream sundae.
ReplyDeleteYum, love ice-cream sundaes :)
DeleteHow did I ever miss you had injured your arm? I do hope it is better soon. Will watch for your pizza saga update, as I think they should be stepping up to the plate on this one ! xx
ReplyDeleteYeah, I sprained my shoulder :( We'll see about the pizza saga. I wonder what they would say.
DeleteGlad you're feeling better, Lena! :) I NEED to make my menu plan today as well.... Why do I put it off all the time?! Ugh!!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I try to do menu planning on Sunday nights or Monday mornings when I also work on my shopping list.
DeleteSounds like a yummy week!
ReplyDelete:) I love weeks when Hubby cooks for me :)
DeleteKind of out of topic, but what's that photo of? Speaking of teriyaki, I've heard a lot of good things about that sauce on chicken. Maybe I'll put that next on my list.
ReplyDeleteThis photo is of a clean countertop :) No food waste there :) I used it before, so now, every time I don't waste food, I put this picture up:) I love teriyaki sauce on both chicken and fish. Mmm...
DeleteSo happy you're feeling better! And, pizza with raw dough is making me gag a little bit. I *definitely* would let the business know - how disappointing that their offer that was meant to inspire new business was such a turnoff.
ReplyDeleteThank you! And not to gross anybody out but that pizza literally made me gag...
DeleteHappy to hear you're feeling better! I hope things with the pizza place work out sooner than later...
ReplyDeleteAn easier question would be what DON'T I like for dessert lol! Number one though would be apple pie and french vanilla icecream! Or maybe chocolate cheese cake...or carrot cake with cream cheese dressing...see what I mean?
