They grow up too fast...

Well, not really :) But, honestly, it's hard to believe it's been two months already since I gave birth to the little ones. And even though the time still goes slow, they definitely grow in leaps. Here's the proof:

That was his take home outfit. Crazy, huh?

So yeah, the twinkies turned two months on Wednesday (so 9 weeks today). And had their doctor's appointment. Both of them grew about 3.5-4 inches. She now weighs 10.13 lbs - pretty much doubles her birth weight!! And he's even bigger at 11.1 lbs. It feels a little weird and slightly sad to pack away all those little outfits for good.

And it's yet to get easier but they are definitely a lot more delightful to be around :)

And if you are curious about this gorgeous quilt they are laying on, then come back tomorrow and I'll tell you all about it :)

And how was your week? :)

  1. The quilt is darling. Those are Russian nesting dolls...right? My Gramma and Grampa came from the Ukraine many many years ago. I like reading your blog...you remind me of my relatives. Congratulations on your sweet babies! :)

  6. Oh my goodness they are beautiful! I love that first photo with your little guy next to his take home outfit. Wow, how they've grown!!! I know how you feel about "packing away the clothes." I find myself getting sad every single time I need to put away clothes that little Abe has outgrown. I love how he's growing up and everything about him but it's still sad that that part of his life is now gone... Oh, goodness those babies are gorgeous!!!

  8. Your babies are just so gorgeous, what a wonderful double blessing! (I guess there are times though, in the middle of a sleepless night, when they may not seem quite so gorgeous!! Time really does pass too fast, everyone says make the most of them and I really tried to but I still look back and wish I had let things go more to spend time just loving mine when they were babies. (Boys of 10 just aren't quite so ready for cuddles anymore) ;( and then they get to 17, learn to drive and go out for the evening when it's rained all day and then starts to freeze!! I'm just praying my girl and her friends will get home safe tonight. hugs and kisses to your lovelies.

  11. Hi Lena, your babies are thriving! You are such a good mom.
About the quilt, my first guess was Debby but after reading her comment, my second guess is Carla.

About babies, they grow too fast.
The days are long but the years are short.
