Baking, baking, baking....

What a crazy day it was today!! It's cold outside so we stayed home and had a cookie baking marathon!! My back is killing me right now but we've done quite a bit. First, look at my handsome helper (and don't pay attention to the mess in the back...oh come on, I asked you not to :) :

He had the most fun today by far. I wish I had more pictures of us working together but, to be honest, I completely forgot about my camera throughout the whole process :) But we ended up with:

A batch of white chocolate cranberry cookies:

Chocolate chip cookies:

Some shortbread cookies:

A batch of snicker-doodles:

These gingerbread cookies still need to be frosted:

And these festive brownies still need to be cut:

Still need to bake a couple more batches tomorrow. And then I wish somebody would come and clean this messy kitchen...I love when kids help but, man, they are messy :)

Are you done with Christmas baking (are you even doing it)?

  1. Daughter and I did 3 batches of FUDGE today!
Then we got Chinese take-out for lunch and lost our motivation to bake.
    Napping ensued. lol

    Your cookies look yummy!

    1. I'm not much of a fudge person, it can be a pain to cook to get it just right :) Funny, I was craving some Chinese too. Maybe, it has something to do with making Christmas sweets:)

  3. Your cookies look very tasty and your helper is very handsom.
I did some cooking yesterday and blogged about the chicken liver pate.
I want to make a quiche using soya milk and lactose free cheese and a lemon merangue pie for boxing day.

  7. I haven't done any Christmas baking. I bought some molasses for gingersnaps, I have good intentions! LOL. We have made several batches of mint covered oreos, but have given most away and eaten the rest :)

  10. I just spent a while wrapping presents, and my back is killing me also. I shouldn't have done it on the floor. We've done a little baking and plan to do more this weekend. We'll see if it really happens.
