30 things in 30 days, update #3.

Hello, hello, my lovelies!

How have you been? How is your Saturday? Ours was busy. We painted the baby room (almost)! It still needs some touch ups but I'm so glad to scratch it off my list. We want to deep-clean the carpets there too and then I can start decorating :) I'm pretty excited about it!! We are trying to tackle quite a few projects here in the next few weeks while I'm still capable and useful...

I mentioned in my last update that I have already reached my goal of getting rid of 30 things. I also challenged myself to make $100 before the end of the month. A week ago I did not have a set plan on what I was going to do with this money but after crunching the numbers yesterday, we decided that we will use it to buy a second car seat. It would be nice not to spend anything extra out of pocket for it. I sold a few more things this week and so far "the car seat fund" sits nicely at $94. I'm very close to my goal :) There is also a $25 rebate for Graco car seats out there, and I looked at Target, and it seems like I can easily stay within the budget if I reach my goal. The other car seat that my friend gave me is a Graco too. I used this company for both of my boys' seats and was pretty pleased with their products.

I also got another bag of donations ready to go which brings my total so far this month to 56!! Now I just have to double my original goal, no excuses. I feel very accomplished this week :)

Update #3: 56 instead of 30

And how did you do on your decluttering goals?

  1. We had a yard sale this weekend. Thursday was a good day and I got rid of a lot of clutter. Friday is rained and Saturday we only opened for a few hours before it rained again :( we have decided to try again next Saturday. I think I will go through my house one more time looking for stuff to sell!!

    1. Oh, that's too bad! But I'm glad you got at least few hours yesterday. It's been raining on and off here all week, and as my as I am (and our lawn) grateful for free moisture, it's hard to do a few things. I hope, next Saturday will be nice and shiny for you!

  2. My decluttering efforts have slowed down somewhat however everyday I do a few things around here to make my home more organized and working better. I fixed the doorbell (all it needed was new batteries), scrubbed my outdoor storage bin and set up my glassed-in firepit (not the right name for it but can't think of it now) and ironed and rehung my living room curtains on a new curtain rod. Phew!

  3. Decluttering has slowed way down but I will get back to it when school starts back after the summer break.
Well done to you a great achievement.

  4. Decluttering has slowed down a bit due to back to school and work...BUT, I did take 2 huge garbage bags and 1 box full of stuff to Goodwill yesterday that had been sitting in my closet for over a month. So that helps! Now to find some more time to declutter.....

  6. Wow, you just keep pushing onward no matter what!
I dejunked quite a bit when we moved Anna's bedroom set down to her. And DJ and I had to go through his stuff so I donated quite a bit. There are still things that I can get rid of but now that the kids are gone, its easier.
