I got a new toy yesterday!! Check it out :)

Yep, it's the famous Ninja blender/mixer thing with all the bells and whistles. My MIL decided to buy something even cooler for herself so she gave us her Ninja. It's quite an upgrade from our $40 Kitchen Aid blender that actually died about a month ago (my MIL didn't know about that). We had used it all summer for smoothies and what not and it didn't survive the pressure...

But I have to tell you, the Ninja rocks!! We made our first smoothie tonight, and I'm in love people...

Forgive me for this dark and unfocused picture ... It was late already, and I guess, I was trying to photograph our painted countertop instead (yes, these are painted... and look pretty cool :)

Anyway, that's a new toy for Mama to play with here. I can't wait to make green smoothies with kale from our own garden.

Do you like smoothies?

By the way, how was your 11/12/13 day? Anything exciting happened? :)

  1. I'm not really into smoothies, but I wish I were. They are a tasty way to hide all kinds of good-for-you stuff. Have fun with your new toy.

  4. Lena, I got one of these, the mini ones back a on early summer. It's still in the shipping brown box, lol. so I don't even know how it looks once I take it out, even though I can't return it, I could still give it out for xmas if is not all they rave about (oh that was terrible wasn't it?) lol, but you know what I mean, one thing is making smoothies once in a while and another making them all the time, so let me know how it works! Mine is purple...or so I think! Big hug, Lizy

  5. Sweet! I make a ton of smoothies, it's a great way to get spinach, kale etc into one's diet in an appealing way. Love the ninja! You really lucked out!

  6. Lena, it is a very versatile machine. Try the pizza recipe from the book that comes with the Ninja. It is really great.- Mary Ann

  7. I have heard a lot of good things about Ninja. Am actually willing my blender to die so I can justify getting one.
